A full operating system upgrade will be indicated by a change of OS Name and Number ie: Monterey 12.XX.XX to Ventura 13.XX.XX.

Run Security or incremental OS update from System Preferences.
Navigate to Applications>Utilities>OpenCore or search OpenCore in spotlight and open the application.
OpenCore may prompt to be updated, this step requires downloading a new version from the web and dragging it to replace the current version, this is not recommended by unless the current version fails during the following steps. Click Ignore Once.
Next click Post Install Root Patch.
Then Click Start Root Patching.
The system will ask you to relaunch as root? Click yes.
When prompted enter the password for your Mac.
Open Core will close and reopen. If it prompts again to download OpenCore update click ignore once.
You then will see a window with text scrolling through it.
